2022 Tahoe and Suburban engine specs
In all, there are three engine options available for the 2022 Tahoe and Suburban. The standard engine is a 5.3-liter V8 which comes standard on the LS, LT, RST, and Premier trims. The 6.2-liter V8 is standard on the High Country trim but is also available on the RST, Z71, and Premier trims. There is even a 3.0-liter Duramax turbo-diesel engine that is available on all trims except the Z71.

5.3-Liter V8 Specs
Most SUV base model engines are four-cylinders or perhaps V6 engines, but the Tahoe and Suburban do things a little differently with a standard V8 that gets 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque.

With an even larger V8 engine option available, you have more power that you can utilize. This engine gives you 420 horsepower and an even more impressive 460 pound-feet of torque.
3.0-Liter V8 Duramax Turbo-Diesel Specs
If you think SUVs with V8 engine options are rare, the Tahoe and Suburban give you an even rarer diesel engine option. This turbo-diesel outputs 277 horsepower and matches the 6.2-liter V8 in terms of torque with 460 pound-feet of torque.
