2024 Chevy Silverado EV Release Date and Design Specs

A welcome addition to the Chevrolet lineup, the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV is expected to arrive at Harbin Chevrolet in Spring 2023. When it is released next spring, the Chevy Silverado EV will be available in a pair of trim levels - the hard-working WT and the power-packed RST - with a price tag that is expected to start at $39,900. Additional trim levels will be available as production levels increase and will include a rugged Trail Boss trim level.

Chevy Silverado EV vs Ford F-150 Lightning: Power and Electric Range

Massive horsepower and massive torque are a pair of highlights you will enjoy when you get behind the wheel of the all-electric 2024 Chevy Silverado EV. The Chevy Silverado EV relies on the power of a 200-kWh Ultium battery pack to drive 664 horsepower and 778 pound-feet of torque to all four corners in the Chevy Silverado EV RST with the e4WD System. Hard-working Chevy Silverado EV WT trim levels will manufacture 510 horsepower and 615 pound-feet of torque. The Ford F-150 Lightning employs a 98-kWh lithium-ion battery pack in base models to make 563 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque. Ford F-150 Lightning models provide an Extended Range Package with a 131.0-kWh battery pack.

Power and range will always be the question when you choose an all-electric pickup truck like the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV. All-electric Chevy Silverado EV entries are expected to provide drivers with an EPA-estimated 400-mile electric range that the Ford F-150 Lightning cannot match. Ford F-150 Lightning models with the Extended Range Package will deliver a 320-mile range - which drops to 230 miles with the standard battery pack. When you have cargo to haul, the Chevy Silverado EV will tow up to 10,000 pounds of cargo with a 1,300-pound payload capacity. Chevy Silverado EV models are expected to arrive at a later date with an anticipated 20,000-pound towing capacity.
