When Will the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD Be Available in Scottsboro AL?
The 2024 Chevy Silverado HD lineup will check all the boxes for drivers who have heavy cargo to tow with a pair of models - Silverado 2500HD and Silverado 3500HD - that are each available in Regular Cab, Double Cab and Crew Cab body styles. Chevy Silverado HD entries are available in six trim levels - Work Truck, Custom, LT, LTZ, High Country and the first-ever ZR2. Available Z71 Sport Edition, Z71 Chrome Sport Edition, Alaskan Snow Plow Special Edition and Midnight Edition appearance packages will upgrade style and performance. Production of the next-generation 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500HD and 2024 Chevy Silverado 3500HD is expected to begin in the First Quarter of 2023.
What Are the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD Features and Specs?
Power is the name of the game in the heavy-duty pickup truck class and the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD will not disappoint. Base Chevy Silverado HD models are powered by a 6.6-liter V-8 that is paired with a 10-speed Allison automatic transmission and will increase its Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR) to 26,000 pounds.
The upgraded 6.6-liter Duramax® Turbodiesel V-8 increases its power output to 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque with a 10-speed Allison automatic transmission. The Chevy Silverado 2500HD equipped with the 6.6-liter Duramax® will tow up to 25,000 pounds of cargo. The Chevy Silverado 3500HD equipped with the 6.6-liter Duramax® and dual rear wheels will max out at 36,000 pounds of cargo.
A brand-new interior and exterior style may be the headline of the next-generation 2024 Chevy Silverado HD and it starts with a redesigned front end that features new fascia, new LED headlights, a new grille and a more muscular style. The next-generation design translates to the interior with a 13.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system that pairs with a 12.3-inch digital instrument display and will add a wireless phone charger to an updated center console.
To improve towing, the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD will add a suite of available high-tech systems to the spec sheet. Adaptive Cruise Control with Trailer will make long trips safer when towing and Trailer Side Blind Zone Alert will increase awareness of the traffic around you. An updated Enhanced Transparent Trailer application will provide you with more visibility with 5th-wheel and gooseneck trailers. A brand-new GCW Alert will warn you when you approach the maximum Gross Combined Weight Rating of your Chevy Silverado HD.
