Drivers who love off-road adventures will love the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD ZR2 trim level - the latest in the trail-rated Chevrolet ZR2 family of performance pickup trucks. Production of the Chevy Silverado HD ZR2 is set to begin this summer with a projected release date of Late Summer 2023. The trail-rated Chevy Silverado HD will be available in a pair of variants - the Silverado HD ZR2 and the Silverado HD ZR2 Bison. The Silverado HD ZR2 Bison was developed as a collaboration between Chevrolet and American Expedition Vehicles (AEV).
New 2024 Chevy Silverado HD ZR2 Features and Specs
The heavy-duty 2024 Chevy Silverado HD ZR2 is powered by a standard 401-horsepower 6.6-liter V-8 engine that is married to a 10-speed Allison® automatic transmission and will tow up to 19,090 pounds of cargo. When drivers need more power, the Chevy Silverado HD ZR2 is available with a 470-horsepower 6.6-liter Duramax® Turbo-Diesel that tows up to 36,000 pounds of cargo.
Equipment upgrades to the Chevy Silverado HD ZR2 are headlined by a 1.5-inch suspension lift and Multimatic DSSV Dampers that are built to handle extreme terrain. The Chevy Silverado HD ZR2 adds 18 x 9-inch alloy wheels with 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires that are perfect for mud, sand or snow. Additional off-road features include a steel transfer case skid plate, a front aluminum skid plate, a rear e-locker feature and a more aggressive exterior style.

The 2024 Chevy Silverado HD ZR2 Bison takes performance and style to the next level with an AEV factory package. The Silverado HD ZR2 Bison features the same powertrain options as its Silverado HD ZR2 counterpart. Highlight features of the Chevy Silverado HD ZR2 Bison include Gloss Black 18-inch AEV wheels, a high-approach steel front bumper, a steel rear bumper with recovery points, stamped-steel underbody skid plates, ZR2 Bison exterior badges, a DuraBed cargo box, BedSteps, a power Multi-Flex tailgate, a 120-volt power outlet and Multimatic DSSV Dampers.
