When Was the First Corvette Z06?

Since then, the Z06 has made an appearance on every generation of Corvette. Though the Z06 never appeared at launch, instead showing up a few years into the generation. The C8 debuted first as a 2020 model with more changes made from the previous generation than any other. No longer was the Corvette a front-engined machine, but would it get a Z06 trim level.

When Will the C8 Chevy Corvette Get a Z06 Version?
You may have guessed it from the question posed above, but the 2023 Corvette will be offered with a Z06 trim level. The 2023 Corvette Z06 will enjoy an all-new 5.5-liter V8 engine that’s naturally aspirated with a flat-plane crankshaft, forged aluminum pistons, and forged titanium connecting rods. Those engine design features translate into 670 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque at the crank.
The 2023 Corvette Z06 will of course include a custom aero package designed to provide more downforce with an available carbon-fiber aero package that pushes this supercar to the limits. With available options, this car is capable of providing 1.22 g of lateral grip. Imagine feeling 120% of your weight pushing on your body, but sideways.
The 2023 Corvette Z06 will have a lot of options available with twelve exterior colors, seven wheel options including available carbon fiber wheels, seven interior colors, six available brake caliper colors, both a convertible and a hardtop option, and more. When you get a Corvette Z06, chances are, you will be the only person in the world with that particular configuration.
